                Apple Pencil (1st Generation):

• • Released in 2015, it works with earlier iPad models such as the iPad Pro (9.7-inch, 10.5-inch, 12.9-inch), and later with the entry-level iPad models.
  • Design and Charging: It has a glossy white finish and a cylindrical design with a removable cap. Charging is done by connecting the Pencil directly into the iPad’s Lightning port, which some users found inconvenient.

• Apple Pencil (2nd Generation):

  • Released in 2018, it introduced improvements in design and functionality and is compatible with newer iPad Pro, iPad Air, and iPad mini models.
  • Design and Charging: The second-generation Pencil has a matte finish and a flat edge that magnetically attaches to the side of compatible iPads. This flat edge also helps prevent it from rolling away. It charges wirelessly while attached, and the magnetic connection also allows for easy storage.
  • Gesture Controls: It includes a touch-sensitive area that allows for double-tap gestures to switch tools, such as from pencil to eraser, improving workflow efficiency.
  • Precision and Performance: Like the first generation, it offers low latency, high precision, and support for tilt and pressure sensitivity, enhancing the drawing and writing experience.
